Panel 1 - Creating a Bookshelf

This is where a user can create a new bookshelf by pressing the button "Create Bookshelf". This space also displays the user's total number of cBooks and bookshelves.

Panel 2 - The Bookshelf Toolbar

This toolbar gives the user the name of the bookshelf and multiple options to edit its contents. From the bookshelf of choice, the user has an option to directly add a new cBook to the bookshelf's collection by clicking the "New book" button. To perform other actions, the user should click on the drop-down "Actions" menu. The "Actions" menu opens to display 5 options:

  • New Book: This is another way to create a new cBook for that particular bookshelf.
  • Rename Bookshelf: A user can rename the bookshelf by clicking on this option.
  • Delete Bookshelf: A bookshelf can be deleted by utilizing this option.
  • Import Kappa: A user can create a new cBook by importing pure Kappa files written and living outside Cellucidate's environment.
  • Import from Kappa Factory: A user who has used the pre-Cellucidate software, Kappa Factory, has the option to create cBooks from Kappa Factory files by importing them in XML format into Cellucidate.

Panel 3 - Book-level Actions

The My Bookshelf page also gives the user certain high-level book-specific actions. A user has a direct "Copy" button as a quick way of creating a copy of a particular cBook. The user has the ability to specify which bookshelf the copied cBook should live in. To perform other actions, the user can click on the drop-down "Actions" menu. The "Actions" menu opens to display 5 options:

  • Rename Book: A user can rename the cBook by clicking on this option.
  • Copy Book: This is another way to copy a cBook.
  • Move Book: This option lets the user move the cBook from its current bookshelf to another bookshelf.
  • Link to Book: A user can create a link to a specific cBook via this option. Linking only works for non-private cBooks.
  • Delete Book: A cBook can be deleted by utilizing this option.

Panel 4 - Comments

This panel displays all the comments that other Cellucidate users have left in any cBooks that you are affiliated with (creator, owner, or shared owner). The comment is linked to the particular page in a cBook where the comment was made. Each comment is attributed to the Cellucidate user who made it.
