Rules Section (Model Page)

Cellucidate Support Dec 02, 2009

The rules section is located in the bottom left portion of the model page, where the rules that comprise the model are listed. Only rules located within the current cBook can be included in a model page, but not all rules in the cBook need be included in any individual model.

In addition to viewing the rules that comprise the model, the rules section is where the user can add or remove rules from the model page, and override the rate constants for individual rules. The search bar can be used to filter the full list of rules. If there are more than 20 rules in the list, they are separated on multiple pages that can be accessed via the "next" and page number buttons at the bottom of the list. The name of each rule is a link to that rule page, so the rules section can also be used to navigate to the rule pages for the rules that comprise the model.

Adding rules to the model page
The user can add rules to the model page via the rule picker by clicking on the edit button at the top of the rules section. If the model is newly created and does not contain any rules, The user can also enter the rule picker by clicking on the "Add rules" button under the rules section header. The "Add All" button will place all rules from the cBook in the model page.

Removing rules from the model page
There are three ways to remove rules from the model page. The user can hit the (x) next to a rule in the list to remove that rule, or click on the "Edit" button and remove rules via the rule picker. The other way is to remove all rules from the model page via the "Delete All" button.

Editing rate constants
The rate constant can be changed for any rule on the model page by clicking on the rate constant in the rules section. Changes made to the rate constant on model pages will not affect the rate constants on the original rule pages, nor the rate constants on other pages. Thus, these changes are local to individual model pages. Although the value of the rate constants can be changed, the units cannot be changed here.
