cBook Tools and Navigation are the tools and navigation that appear on every page in every cBook.

Panel 1 - Search and Book Tools

The Jump to Page option allows the user to search within the cBook and quickly navigate to new pages. Users can use the book tools to share a cBook (if they are the owner), copy a cBook (if they are the cBook owner or have copy permission), or make a new cBook. In addition, this is where the user can create new pages (agent, rule, journal, model) and chapters by clicking on the appropriate button. Also included in panel 1 is the option to go to the previous or next page within the current cBook.

Panel 2 - Table of Contents

The user can see the entire layout of a cBook in the Table of Contents (TOC) panel on the left hand side of each page. Using the green button to the left of the chapter title, each individual chapter can be spun down to reveal the chapter's pages or spun up to hide them. The user can also click on "expand" or "collapse" at the top of the TOC to show or hide the pages in all the chapters. The TOC allows the user to navigate immediately to any page in the cBook by clicking the page name. The cBook's owner can also reorder its contents by dragging and dropping chapters and pages within the TOC panel. The TOC contains the Appendix chapter which has the History page. The History page displays the book events that have occurred within the cBook. The TOC offers the ability to do bulk editing in the cBook such as copying or deleting multiple pages. Chapters and pages can also be individually deleted using the (x) button when in bulk edit mode.

Panel 3 - Status Bar

The status bar is located at the bottom of the browser on every page in Cellucidate. There are five tabs on the status bar and three of them (Collaborators, Contact Map, Updates) are book level, which means they are only available when user is in a cBook.

• Collaborators: Shows if other collaborators are in the cBook at the same time. Also, the user can access their sharing options through this tab.
  • Contact Map: Displays the syntactic contact map of the entire cBook. Learn more about navigational contact maps.
  • Updates: Shows new changes made to the cBook.
  • Messages: Notifies the user of any new messages. The user can read and reply to their messages through this tab.
  • Jobs running: Shows how many jobs are running and their status. The user can also view their job history through this tab. This tab is highlighted when a job is running.
